Miguel Gallardo signs two-year contract
The Austin Aztex today announced they had signed their first pro player for the 2009 Season. Miguel Gallardo, PDL Goalkeeper of the Year and Southern Conference All-Star, signed a two year contract with the Aztex. Miguel has been the starting ’keeper for the Aztex U23 team for the past season, conceding only eight goals and leading the League with nine shutouts.
USL Division One Professional Soccer
Beginning Play in Austin in 2009
USL Division One professional soccer will arrive in the Austin area in 2009. The Austin Aztex organization have a formal partnership agreement with Stoke City FC, of the English Football League Championship.
Teams will be coming from all over North America to take on the Austin Aztex in 2009.
