Professional soccer is coming to Austin! The United Soccer Leagues (USL) recently announced that our city will be home to a new USL First Division soccer franchise, the Austin Aztex. This professional, national team will begin play in 2009. For 2008, the Aztex will field an exciting U23 PDL (Professional Development League) team. The Austin Aztex will be officially affiliated with the English Championship club, Stoke City F.C., and share players and coaches.
